Crime Alert Information: May 23, 2008
The Christopher Newport University Police Department is currently investigating a robbery that occurred on the University’s East Campus. The robbery occurred on May 23, 2008, at approximately 2:00 am in the parking lot adjacent to Madison Residence Hall. The victim was approached by a black male, approximately 25 years of age, wearing a black hoodie pulled over his head and covering his face with a black handkerchief. The suspect brandished a hand gun and demanded the victim’s money. The victim observed the suspect return to a white Dodge Dynasty that was mobile in the parking lot and occupied by two other black males. The victim observed the vehicle leave the parking lot traveling south on Warwick Boulevard.
